As Operations Manager for Government Programs, you'll lead a specialized team providing L1/L2 support for cutting-edge automation systems while driving operational excellence that directly impacts national security initiatives.

Position Overview

Drive transformational improvements in automation operations that enhance manufacturing efficiency, tool availability, output optimization, and productivity. You'll implement strategic processes and best practices while ensuring seamless alignment between factory operations and automation systems in a secure, high-stakes environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Operations

  • Formulate and execute automation strategies that support critical manufacturing objectives
  • Implement robust processes and compliance frameworks aligned with government security requirements
  • Make high-impact decisions during crisis situations that may affect factory revenue and program deliverables
  • Procure specialized materials and resources while maintaining strict security protocols

Team Development & Management

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team focused on automation excellence
  • Define inspiring vision and foster an inclusive, collaborative work environment
  • Provide strategic guidance to achieve both business objectives and team development goals
  • Drive positive Intel culture while maintaining security-conscious operations

Stakeholder Engagement & Project Leadership

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across Intel Foundry Automation and Manufacturing organizations
  • Lead large-scale projects and cross-functional teams supporting critical factory objectives
  • Influence outcomes with senior technical and management stakeholders
  • Ensure seamless coordination between automation systems and government program requirements

Qualifications:

The Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.  Minimum qualifications listed below would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experience and / or schoolwork/classes/research. The preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • US Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain US Government TS Security Clearance and SCI access
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM related field of study
  • 4+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, factory automation, IT infrastructure or software development
  • 2+ years of experience in technical leadership roles
  • 1+ years of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active US Government TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • Post Graduate degree in STEM related field of study
  • Background in government contracting or defense manufacturing
  • Experience with advanced semiconductor manufacturing processes

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $128,880.00-245,160.00 USD

 

 

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Work Model for this Role
