Operations Manager
The Operations Manager is a key manufacturing leader within the East Wing, responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of assigned production departments within a 24/7 softgel manufacturing environment. This role provides direct leadership to up to four (4) Supervisors operating on rotating shifts and ensures consistent execution across all shifts.
Position Summary
This position is 100% on-site at the St. Petersburg site.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing approximately 15 team members per shift supporting operations in either the east wing or west wing.
The Role
Own day-to-day manufacturing performance for assigned East Wing departments across 24/7 operations.
Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution of production activities on all shifts.
Translate production plans into executable shift-level priorities and ensure reliable schedule adherence.
Set clear performance, behavior, and compliance expectations for supervisors and frontline teams.
Coach and develop supervisors to strengthen decision-making, accountability, and execution discipline.
Use data, root cause analysis, and standard problem-solving tools to address performance gaps.
Reinforce and sustain a strong quality culture aligned with cGMPs, SOPs, and data integrity requirements.

The Candidate
Bachelor’s degree with three years or Associate’s degree with five years of progressively responsible managerial experience required.
Prior leadership experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or other GMP regulated industries strongly preferred.
Prior experience leading teams in a 24/7 manufacturing environment preferred.
Established record of success in managing a production floor, multiple-customer environment, with demonstrated ability to direct individuals and delegate responsibilities and tasks. Experience in deviation management, including deep understanding of root cause analysis and experience documenting and reviewing deviations. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in managing through best practice manufacturing processes, as well as demonstrated knowledge and experience driving continuous improvement, efficiency gains, and yield improvement.
Must possess and demonstrate excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Comfortable at both senior management and shop floor levels.
Must possess and demonstrate knowledge and experience of cGMPs, SOP adherence, data integrity principles, and relevant safety and OSHA regulations.
Must possess computer skills with past experience using MS Office, TrackWise (deviation management), spreadsheets and ERP systems
Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines. Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift to 15 pounds; no lifting greater than 44.09 pounds without assistance. Be accessible to manufacturing floor and office staff and to use required office equipment. Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen frequently.
