This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the office, warehouse, and delivery departments to ensure all customer service, personnel, warehouse, and delivery functions are executed in a professional, efficient, and timely manner. The role also ensures that branch operations comply with corporate policies, governmental regulations, and safe operating practices.
Job Description:
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct, implement, and enforce office, sales administrative, warehouse, and delivery policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Partner closely with the General Manager and collaborate with other managers and corporate personnel to ensure smooth operations and achievement of business objectives.
- Oversee inventory management and inventory control to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce standard operating procedures and safe operating practices.
- Assume responsibility for the overall safety of the branch; chair the local safety committee and promote a culture of safety.
- Recruit, hire, train, develop, and manage staff to ensure appropriate staffing levels and efficient operations.
- Manage site-level human resources and payroll functions, coordinating with the corporate office as required.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to warehouse operations, office operations, and delivery fleet management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws governing excise taxes and licensing requirements.
- Maintain and safeguard company assets, including facilities, equipment, inventory, accounts receivable, and cash.
- Ensure a safe, secure, and clean working environment for all employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive operational leadership experience, including management of business office functions, warehouse operations, and delivery fleet operations.
- 4–8 years of experience managing budgets ranging from $5M to $10M, with demonstrated success improving operational efficiency and controlling costs.
- Proven leadership ability with a strong track record of developing, motivating, and retaining high-performing teams.
- Strong overall business acumen with hands-on experience managing office, warehouse, and delivery operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional presence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required; experience with Workday software preferred.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt effectively to changing conditions, delays, or unexpected challenges.
- Ability to interact effectively with all organizational levels and functional areas, including in high-pressure situations.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, negotiation, and influencing skills.
The expected pay range for this role is $80,000.00 - $90,000.00. Pay is based on several factors including, but not limited to, labor markets, education, experience, certifications, etc. Johnson Brothers offers eligible team members and their dependents comprehensive health benefits and programs, which include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts.
