Boeing Global Services is looking for an Operations Director.  This Director is set to join the team located in San Antonio, TX

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead operations for Japan AWACS, including modifications, ground and flight operations, safety, and regulatory compliance.

  • Lead the San Antonio Manufacturing Center (SAMC) which supports 8 programs across all three business units including oversight of successful execution in support of the Long-Range Business Plan (LRBP). This includes Emergent Operations (EO), Fabrication Services, Paint, Composites, Structural Repair, Machining and Chemical processing.

  • Lead the integrated Material Management Organization (MMO) across the San Antonio Site.  Includes Production Control, Tool Services and Warehouse Operations.

  • Responsible to lead BGS Property Management with sites across the United States.

  • Focuses on the cross functional integration of core and program disciplines and the application of independent, specialized technical and leadership expertise to a wide range of program objectives.

  • Leads the development, integration, implementation and execution of multidisciplinary operations processes across all three business units. 

  • Responsible for and champion safety management systems and a strong safety culture across all operational units.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working as a senior leader or senior manager

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Operations and/or Manufacturing

  • Minimum 5 years of experience influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and partnerships across functions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Minimum 5 years of experience using critical business and financial acumen to influence and shape strategy

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in Fabrication or Materials Management

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of Lean Manufacturing

  • Experience managing customer and supplier relationships

  • Ability to build an environment of engagement, transparency, and trust

  • Experience developing and motivating employees, mid-level and senior level managers

  • Experience managing mid-level and senior managers

  • A strong natural leadership style that moves people to act, motivates and inspires excellence and innovation

  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding targets goals and strong skills in program execution to schedule and budget.

  • Proactively and quickly makes sense of complex issues; responds effectively to complex and ambiguous situations; communicates complicated information simply

  • Gains others' trust by demonstrating openness and honesty, behaving consistently, and acting in accordance with moral, ethical, professional, and organizational guidelines

Summary pay range: $170,000 - $230,000
