About the role
As an Operations Data Analyst (AI & Data), you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets to provide actionable insights and support strategic initiatives. In this role, you will additionally contribute to the execution, monitoring, and continuous improvement of AI & Data Adoption team in designing and impl ways of working, standards, and operational frameworks to help enable Takeda’s enterprise data and digital strategy.
Responsibilities
Data Collection and Analysis
- Gather and extract data from various sources, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and completeness. Clean, transform, and preprocess data to prepare it for analysis.
- Maintain AI & Data Service & Product Catalog to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with transformation standards.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track the effectiveness of business processes.
- Identify areas for improvement, potential bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement data-driven strategies and measure their impact.
Ad-Hoc Analysis
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to answer specific business questions or address immediate needs.
- Analyze data from different perspectives to provide insights into specific areas of interest or emerging trends.
- Proactively identify new data sources or approaches to enhance analysis capabilities.
Data Quality Assurance
- Support adherence to defined standards, methodologies, and the team’s Way of Working by ensuring accurate operational inputs.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and adherence to predefined quality standards.
- Implement data validation and verification procedures to identify and resolve data quality issues.
- Work closely with data engineers and stakeholders to improve data collection processes and data governance practices.
Collaborative Projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven initiatives and projects.
- Provide analytical support, guidance, and expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver actionable insights.
Documentation and Process Enablement
- Support documentation of processes, workflows, templates, and operational procedures used across the AI & Data Transformation landscape.
- Assist in maintaining a consistent and high-quality operating model by ensuring structured documentation and operational discipline.
Customer Relationships
- Work closely with internal team members, leadership, and business stakeholders to understand data needs, provide updates, and help enable consistent ways of working.
- Prepare clear, concise presentations and reports that translate operational findings into actionable recommendations.
- Support the communication of updates to standards, processes, and service offerings.
EDUCATION, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years IT experience
- 3+ years relevant progressive experiences
- Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar languages.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar software.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with statistical concepts and techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into clear and actionable insights.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Strong business acumen and ability to understand and address business requirements through data analysis.
