Program Summary
KBR Metrology supports Honeywell Aerospace, Otto Instruments, Garrett Advance Motion, and their suppliers with services including onsite/offsite laboratory visits, test equipment calibration and repair, AMS2750 pyrometry services, metrology engineering, and equipment inspection. They also offer preventative maintenance, equipment sourcing, CMM inspections, automation and programming, measurement technical support, calibration recall system management, and performance tracking dashboards.
Job Summary
The Business Support Associate supports operational, logistics, and procurement activities across the metrology platform to ensure efficient execution of programs and customer commitments. This role works closely with the Market Manager and cross-functional teams to maintain accurate documentation, coordinate communication flow, and ensure compliance with standard work instructions, supplier requirements, and organizational processes. The position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in the implementation of programs and processes to meet business goals
Accurately document costs, commitments, and maintain data integrity
Support communication flow between customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders across the global metrology platform
Follow established standard work instructions to ensure quality and compliance
Adhere to outsource vendor plans and Authorized Supplier List (ASL) requirements
Coordinate with customers to ensure logistics objectives, priorities, and schedules are achieved
Coordinate and conduct pick-up and delivery of measuring equipment
Prepare equipment for shipment, ensuring proper documentation and accurate billing
Troubleshoot logistics issues and coordinate resolutions or recommend solutions
Manage all aspects of the procurement process, including purchasing and invoicing
Ensure accurate and timely processing and payment of invoices
Process purchase orders including quoting, requisition creation, and invoice processing
Collaborate with leadership to obtain approvals for purchases and activities
Coordinate the delivery of goods and services internally and externally
Manage workflow and communicate technical and business requirements related to asset delivery
Collect, organize, and report data to maintain program status and compliance
Support monthly reviews of labor and non-labor data with the Market Manager
Analyze data trends and provide recommendations for improvement
Initiate and track corrective actions and follow-ups
Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
Undergraduate degree and 1 year of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of a degree
Ability to follow structured processes and maintain accuracy in documentation
Strong organizational and communication skills
Capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
U.S. Citizenship required due to client requirements
Must meet any specific contract requirements regarding education and experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in logistics, procurement, or supply chain operations
Familiarity with metrology, calibration services, or technical service environments
Experience working with ERP systems or purchase order processes
Strong analytical skills with experience reviewing operational data
Ability to identify process improvements and implement solutions
