Key Responsibilities:
Support the creation of daily schedules and work closely with Operations to meet client service needs
Support dispatch services for the Saint John (Grandview) office by way of constant communication between operators, supervisors, and management staff
Support scheduling work taking into consideration employee skill, ability, required mandatory training while working within the scope of the Collective Bargaining Agreement
Acts as a liaison coordinating between our various operations, and for field staff as required
Identifies optimization opportunities for the effective use of resources
Acts as the point of contact for customer and other inquiries that come to the dispatch office
Creates and supports the distribution of the daily operational schedule to operations management
Coordinate equipment repairs with the mechanics and third party repair companies. This includes freeing up equipment from operations for both preventative and reparative maintenance
Support and/or open and process work orders. This includes month end closure and reconciliation of open work orders
Creates and maintains a zero harm environment by ensuring all environmental, health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times
Set up, oversee and manage job sites and projects as required and directed by Field Supervisors and Management
Scope various job sites for service and generate or assist in the development of detailed scope documents to support the safe and efficient dispatch of equipment and personnel to execute onsite work
Participates in the after-hours/on-call program
Other tasks as directed by management
Requirements:
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, the ability to decipher google maps, and find information online
Exceptional organization skills to ensure adherence to protocols, best practices for paper work and operational flow of information
Must be flexible and can easily adapt to changing priorities with an ability to multi-task
Experience working with a unionized workforce and a collective bargaining agreement considered an asset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to deal directly with clients, internal personnel, management, other divisions, etc
Experience setting up, overseeing and managing job sites or projects is an asset
Knowledge of dispatching, fleet management, and/or heavy duty equipment is an asset
Qualifications:
High school education, or equivalent experience
Previous experience in an industrial environment is preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential
