The Operations Continuity Manager (OCM) provides end-to-end operational coordination, continuity, and escalation leadership during an assigned shift to ensure safe, stable, and efficient terminal operations. This role acts as the single managerial point of accountability during live operational disruptions, aligning Landside, Waterside, Yard, IT, Automation, and Maintenance functions to minimize impact and maintain execution discipline in a 24/7 operational environment.
Operating at the heart of terminal execution, the OCM maintains a terminal-wide perspective, ensuring priorities are clear, risks are managed, and escalation pathways are applied consistently. The role focuses on governance, coordination, and decision-making rather than hands-on execution, enabling operational teams to perform at their best under time-sensitive and high-pressure conditions.
Serves as the managerial single point of accountability for operational coordination and continuity during the assigned shift for operational disruptions related to automated equipment, cranes, infrastructure (facilities), and the operational systems required to operate the terminal, ensuring alignment across Landside, Waterside, Yard, IT, Automation and Maintenance functions.
Acts as the central managerial coordination and communication interface during operational disruptions by assessing impact, setting priorities, and initiating appropriate escalation paths.
Oversees operational resource availability and continuity, maintaining visibility of operational assets status, constraints, and dependencies to support safe and efficient terminal performance.
Follows and maintains operational prioritization standards to support consistent decision-making during live operational events.
Provides managerial oversight of operational coordination activities, ensuring that information flow, escalation discipline, and cross-functional alignment are maintained.
Manages and provides direction to assigned Process Controllers to ensure consistent application of operational priorities and escalation protocols.
Ensures structured alignment between Operations, Asset Maintenance, and support functions by defining expectations, sequencing considerations, and communication standards.
Participates in escalation forums and bridge calls as the Operations Management representative, ensuring accurate situational awareness and disciplined communication.
Coordinates with IT, Automation, Facilities, Strategy all resource related topics to support operational stability.
Ensures consistent shift-to-shift continuity by overseeing handover standards, open-risk visibility, and follow-up actions.
Supports Senior Managers (SMO) and Lead Managers (LMO) by reducing reactive escalation and reinforcing consistent execution governance.
Contributes to the ongoing development and refinement of operational coordination models, escalation practices, and managerial controls.

Bachelor’s degree in operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Maritime Studies, Industrial Engineering, IT or a related field, or equivalent management experience in complex operational environments. (Highly Desirable).
Minimum 4 years of experience in operations management within the complex. (Must)
24/7 operational environments. (Rotational Shifts) (Weekends).
Experience in container terminal operations, port operations, maintenance or similar industrial or logistics environments is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in shift-based operational coordination, execution governance, or escalation management roles.
Proven exposure to working in unionized environments with defined labor jurisdictions and collective bargaining frameworks.
Experience coordinating with off-site or centralized operational support functions (e.g., process control, planning, or monitoring teams).
Track record of operating effectively in environments requiring structured prioritization, cross-functional alignment and disciplined escalation.
Strong managerial judgement and decision-making capability in time-sensitive operational settings.
Ability to assess operational impact and risk, establishing clear, defensible priorities.
Excellent structured communication skills, including participation in escalation forums and bridge calls.
Ability to provide managerial oversight and direction to staff roles (e.g., Process Controllers) without engaging in hands-on execution.
High situational awareness with the ability to maintain a terminal-wide perspective.
Strong stakeholder management skills across Operations, Maintenance, IT, Automation and Labor Relations.
Discipline in applying governance models, escalation protocols, and decision frameworks.

The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for this position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
