The Corporate Actions team, previously comprising 11 dedicated members, is a streamlined and successful unit that plays a crucial role in managing the complexities of corporate events for both local and foreign markets. However, with the departure of a team member due to personal reasons and the anticipated increase in volume as the Corporate Actions peak season commences in April, the team is currently facing challenges in managing existing demand. Furthermore, the Malaysian market, known for its highly manual processes, adds another layer of complexity. To ensure we continue to meet and exceed client expectations and maintain our high standards of service delivery amidst these challenges and projected growth, we are seeking to hire a reliable and dedicated individual who will be responsible for handling Corporate Action processing, specifically focusing on both local and foreign market operations.

Your key responsibilities:
- Provide daily operational support and actively participate in process automation initiatives.
- Manage all corporate action related activities, including:
- Extracting and processing Corporate Action (CA) announcements, meetings, and market news for client dissemination.
- Processing Proxy Voting instructions from clients.
- Handling processing for both Mandatory and Voluntary Corporate Action Events.
- Addressing internal and external client inquiries regarding announced and processed CA events.
- Ensuring all CA activities are executed expeditiously and accurately.
- Liaising with Company Registrars/Agents to confirm announcement details, arrange form collection, and request replacement tax vouchers.
- Effectively and proactively following up with clients who have not provided voluntary corporate actions instructions.
Your skills and experience:
- Ability to analyze and interpret information effectively.
- Strong time management skills, including prioritizing tasks and consistently meeting deadlines.
- Responsible and capable of working independently.
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) skills.
- Proficient in analytical and problem-solving.
- Dedicated and able to perform effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Good knowledge of Corporate Action for local and foreign markets is preferred.
- 3-5 years of total work experience, preferably in securities operations.
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
