Job Summary:


The Operations Associate is responsible for scheduling drivers for freight pickups and deliveries while serving as a key point of contact between customers, drivers, vendors, and internal teams. This role ensures efficient operations, timely communication, and accurate documentation across all transportation activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and coordinate drivers for freight pickups and deliveries

  • Support inbound freight processing, including shipment check-in, data entry, and documentation management

  • Assist dispatch operations with driver assignments, route planning, and schedule tracking

  • Communicate with drivers regarding pickup and delivery details, route updates, and changes

  • Work closely with drivers, dispatch, and management and escalate issues as needed.

  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, routes, dispatch activity, and delivery timelines in internal systems

  • Upload and manage shipment documentation, including proof of delivery (PODs) and freight photos

  • Serve as a liaison between customers, vendors, and internal teams to provide shipment status updates

  • Identify potential delays or service issues and support timely resolution through escalation and coordination

  • Monitor traffic conditions and adjust routes to ensure on-time performance

  • Track truck maintenance and repair schedules to support operational readiness

  • Log and address vendor or customer concerns in a timely and professional manner

  • Prepare and maintain dispatch-related reports and documentation for management

  • Provide general administrative and operational support as needed

  • Answer and direct incoming calls from customers, vendors, and drivers

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in transportation, logistics, warehouse operations, or a related field preferred

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in dispatch systems and basic computer applications

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments

Pay Range:             

 

$22.00 - $24.00*   

 

*The above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.  The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
