Various accounting duties and administrative tasks.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
•
Check, index, review and input all member wages
•
Send current and past due invoices to members on a timely basis
•
Receive and index statements with tasks into digital filing system
•
Accurately and efficiently post A/R and A/P transactions to the appropriate fields in system to the corresponding member account
•
Prepare and issue member account statements
•
Communicate and coordinate with our claim partners, customers and state
Department agencies regarding queries on check payments or transactions
as needed to in resolving any billing issues
•
Exercise professional and excellent customer service skills to answer questions for members when needed via telephone or email
•
Send current and past due invoices to members on a timely basis
•
Follow up on missing wage reports from members
•
Assist with copying, collating, binding or mailings and presentation materials
•
Provide admin support and clerical assistance to the department
•
Other duties as assigned.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
1. College degree preferred plus 1-3 years of general accounting experience
2. A strong working knowledge of computer based application systems including pivot tables and Vlookup functions (Excel, Microsoft Word, e-mail).
3. Experience with or any other accounting software programs a plus.
4. Fast, accurate, data input skills with a strong attention to detail, and the ability to check one’s own work to assure accuracy of transactions posted.
5. Good math comprehension.
6. Ability to sit for long periods of time doing repetitive work.
7. Good customer service skills and the ability to respond promptly to customers’ needs.
8. Ability to follow directions, use common sense, and to take responsibility for one’s own actions.
9. Contributes to building a positive team spirit.
