The Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manager will report to Director of Facilities and will be responsible for the performance of the work on full contract matters relating to the daily base operations within this contract. The Operations Manager will oversee all contracted base operations functions and respond to any requests of Director of Facilities and perform any other duties as assigned by the Program leadership team.
The O&M Manager will oversee and manage the day-to-day base operations areas while providing supervision, technical guidance, training and quality assurance for all support staff. Included in this function will be a full range of management duties including, but not limited to, planning, scheduling, and quality control. The O&M Manager shall provide an adequate staff of personnel with the necessary expertise to ensure the performance of the work in accordance with sound and efficient management practices and to complete work in accordance with the time and quality standards in the contract.
The Operations Manager shall be available within two (2) hours to meet on the installation with Government personnel to discuss problem areas.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline preferred; two (2) years of experience in related field may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college.
Trade certifications minimum of a journeyman. Master certification strongly desired.
WORKING AND LIVING CONDITIONS
This position may be located in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this environment. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time.
