Job Overview
The Operations & Logistics Manager position will oversee all functions of the Mail Services department, including supervision and performance management of Mail Services team members and the Outbound Mail Supervisor. The position will serve as a liaison between the University and third party mail and package carries, including the US Postal Service, UPS, FedEx, DHL, and others. Other duties will include oversight of outbound shipping, including shipments to Georgetown University’s Qatar campus, bulk mailings, management of postage accounts and internal billing to University departments. This position reports to the Senior Director of Dining and Auxiliary Services and is expected to critically evaluate all Mail processes, procedures, and operations and propose improvements that will further the departmental goals of efficiency and customer service, including technology and equipment upgrades. This position also assists with contract management responsibilities for the University’s enterprise-level managed print services, vending and other Auxiliary services.
Work Interactions
This position reports to the Senior Director of Dining and Auxiliary Services as part of the Auxiliary Business Services and Real Estate team. Duties of this position will require daily interactions with Georgetown University faculty, staff, and students as well as external vendors.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations, including 5+ years of supervisory experience
Excellent written and oral interpersonal communication skills
Experience in preparing, analyzing, and managing departmental expenses, including profit and loss statements
Experience with timekeeping procedures, labor laws, and performance management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel, and Google suite
Experience in contract management preferred

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$47,586.00 - $87,558.13Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
