About the role:

Forter is looking for a part time Operations Analyst to join our Analytics Operations team and take part in the day to day engine that keeps our fraud prevention system sharp and effective.

Forter delivers real time, fully automated fraud protection for some of the largest ecommerce merchants in the world. Our technology allows businesses to focus on growth while staying one step ahead of fraudsters at all times. We do this by combining cyber intelligence, identity signals, and behavioral data into a powerful multi layered decisioning system.

In this role, you will sit at the intersection of data, operations, and customer impact. You will work with real production systems, real merchants, and real scale, gaining hands on experience with analytics, decisioning logic, and operational problem solving in a fast paced environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Perform complex data analysis tasks to quantify Forter’s impact across a portfolio of leading global ecommerce merchants
  • Manage an operational pipeline of merchant tickets and alerts, including triage, research, prioritization, assignment, and resolution of data and analytics issues for enterprise customers
  • Design, code, and test adjustments to Forter’s production decisioning engine using Python
  • Work closely with fraud analysts, customer success managers, and the customer support team to resolve customer issues quickly and continuously improve Forter’s products

What you'll need:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree, with at least three full semesters remaining until graduation (excluding the current one). This is a fifty percent position with flexibility during exam periods
  • Ability to translate broad business questions into clear analytical approaches and the right queries to get answers
  • Strong ownership mindset. Knows how to move things forward, ask the right questions, involve the right people, and escalate when needed
  • Technical orientation and high learning ability, with motivation to pick up new tools and technologies quickly
  • Strong multitasking skills and comfort managing multiple tasks at different stages at the same time
  • Basic coding ability in a scripting language, preferably Python
  • Experience with basic SQL queries is an advantage
