Scope

The Capital Solutions team at Houlihan Lokey is seeking an experienced Operations Analyst who will have a global role supporting Capital Solutions Leadership, working directly with senior members of the CS practice, as well as the wider team and business.

The Operations Analyst is given substantial responsibility and works closely with senior members of the Capital Solutions Group, helping to drive reporting, analytics, and operational initiatives that support strategic decision making.

This role provides broad exposure to the Capital Solutions platform and its leadership priorities, including business performance reporting, planning and resource management, and strategic initiatives led by the COO and Group Heads. The successful candidate will also be involved in day-to-day business administration as well as special projects such as the integration of acquisitions.

Responsibilities

As an Operations Analyst, you will:

  • Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for senior management (including quarterly reviews, Board materials, etc.).
  • Build and maintain reporting and dashboards to surface business trends and performance drivers.
  • Develop ad hoc and recurring analyses to support strategic decision making, business planning, and prioritization.
  • Support reporting related to CS staff management, including recruiting, headcount planning and capacity metrics.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reporting and analysis.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across regions and functions to gather inputs, resolve data issues, and deliver outputs on time.
  • Support additional initiatives led by COO/Group Head surrounding broader team management and development.
  • Manage and support business administrative processes for new business as well as revenue recognition.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate thinks strategically, is motivated, detail oriented, proactive, and possesses strong analytical skills. If you have the following qualifications and experience, we’d love to hear from you:

  • Strong Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in business operations, analytics, reporting, finance, consulting, or a financial services environment
  • Demonstrable experience producing leadership reporting and insights, including translating analysis into clear takeaways and recommendations
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong PowerPoint skills, with the ability to produce leadership ready materials
  • Familiarity with Sigma, Tableau, SQL, or similar analytical and visualization tools
  • Experience working with CRM or enterprise data systems (Salesforce preferred) with strong attention to data quality and reporting controls
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines with strong organization and follow through
  • An independent, solutions focused mindset, with a continuous improvement approach to processes and reporting
  • An exceptional work ethic and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues across levels and geographies
