Ravensworth Operations comprises of Ravensworth Open Cut and the Coal Handling Preparation Plant that provides high quality coal for the export market. The operation has approval to mine over 14Mtpa, with a long life of mine.  Our fleet consists of Cat 6090 hydraulic face shovels and 6060 & 6040 excavators, Liebherr 9600 and 9400, CAT 6290 and 6420 rotary drills, Letourneau L1850 wheel loaders, Caterpillar 797F/789C & 789D rear dump trucks and ancillary equipment.

About The Role

An opportunity exists for an Operational Technology Technician, who is self-motivated and committed to developing a culture driven by safety, quality and continuous improvement.  Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will work safely and effectively as part of a dynamic team, to optimise equipment availability and reliability, ensuring fleet performance and other targets are achieved across the business.

In this role, you will primarily be responsible for the maintenance on a diverse range of equipment:

• Working closely with both mining and maintenance teams to ensure the continuous and effective operation of OT systems.
• Executing maintenance plans for OT systems within the weekly maintenance planning process, as instructed by the Electrical Supervisor.
• Conducting day-to-day maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of OT systems, including CAS (Collision Awareness System) and PCN communication systems.
• Proactively identify faults within OT hardware and software systems and undertake fault finding activities.
• Review and implement changes to in pit communication infrastructure to ensure all operating areas have required coverage.
• Proactively instigate improvements within OT systems.
• Occasionally conduct routine and breakdown maintenance on both mobile equipment and site infrastructure.

Ravensworth Operations OT systems include (but are not limited to): CAS (Collision Awareness System), Rajant mesh Wi-Fi systems, Guardvant fatigue management, Two-Way communications network, Modular fleet management, Argus/Pro Vision GPS Systems, CAT PLE, PLCs, Cisco and Moxa communications hardware.

About You

• An Auto-Electrical or Electrical trade.
• Communications qualifications would be highly regarded.
• Experience in the Radio or Communications sector (desirable).
• Knowledge and experience of, or a willingness to learn about OT and communications systems.
• Experience with open cut mining fleet management systems (i.e. Modular, Guardvant, VIMs) would be highly regarded.
• Experience in working with heavy earthmoving machinery and programmable logic control systems would be highly regarded.
• You will be someone who demonstrates self-leadership, a positive attitude, commitment to working proactively and effectively whilst actively following safety systems and ensuring adherence to all company HSEC policies and legislative requirements.
