Your role and work environment:
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Operational Resilience & Business Continuity Specialist to join our Resilience & Continuity Expert Unit Operational Design, Control, Resilience & Facilities (ODCRF).
The ongoing regulatory demands in the financial services industry mean that ING must increase its efforts to ensure a compliant and future-proof organisation which delivers safe and secure processes, resilient enough to withstand the challenges ahead. Within ODCRF, the area of Resilience & Continuity will focus on realizing the specific requirements around Operational Resilience.
The area Resilience & Continuity is pivotal for our success. You will work in an enthusiastic team to meet the objective of the Resilience & Continuity team: to contribute to a successful delivery of ING's Operational Resilience strategy, by bridging the gap between design and execution whilst keeping our bank safe, secure and compliant. Our objectives are very ambitious, but we also find it very important that we work together in a pleasant and friendly manner. Activities the team members are working on include:
Your key responsibilities:
As an Operational Resilience & Business Continuity Specialist you will:
1. Strategy & Governance: Implement the Operational Resilience Strategy aligned with ING Group standards and local regulatory requirements; Maintain and update the Crisis Management Plan and Entity Business Continuity Plan (BCP), including Maximum Outage Times (MOTs); ensure alignment between resilience strategy and business objectives, customer expectations, and legal obligations.
2. Risk Identification & Impact Tolerance: Identify Critical Business Services (CBS) and assess their impact tolerance thresholds; Conduct Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and integrate findings into resilience planning.
3. Testing & Assurance: Lead end-to-end Operational Resilience testing.
4. Service Providers Oversight: Evaluate and monitor BCM capabilities of external service providers, ensuring documentation and test results are collected and assessed.
5. Crisis Management & Escalation: activate and coordinate Country Crisis Management Team (CMO) procedures during disruptions. Ensure timely escalation and communication with local and global stakeholders.
6. Training & Awareness: Promote resilience awareness and training across departments to ensure readiness and role clarity during crises.
