About the Role…
This role will suit someone coming from backgrounds like Automotive, Aerospace, Space, Pharmaceutical, Medical, Marine, Oil and Gas, Military, Renewable Energy, Railway or Aviation
Due to an increase in projects we are looking for an Operational QA to join the Quality Assurance team of 25+ members, who are knowledgeable, supportive and cohesive. This is a high visibility role as you will be the final signatory for different satellite payloads for Telecoms and Earth Observation satellites.
The team focuses on developing customised solutions, proactively eliminating problems, improving operational performance, maintaining low costs, keeping our people safe and our customer satisfied in our unique and highly specialised operations and product manufacture.
How will you contribute to the team…
The QA is fully empowered to manage all aspects of quality within the Spacecraft Production work area.
• Perform critical inspection activities and witness critical operations.
• Lead and influence the prevention of non-conformances and enforcing the quality mind set in the local work areas. Drive the efficient management of non-conformance and Cost of Non quality reduction.
• Perform Quality surveillance in the local work areas to ensure product quality meets the stated requirements.
• Review Spacecraft Production work instructions for technical integrity, regarding product quality requirements through QVPs and standards, whether specific or more general. If needed, reject and assist manufacturing in the correction of errors. Reviewing drawings as needed in support of a work instruction review.
About you…
• Good understanding and experience of Quality Assurance and product assurance activities within a complex technical environment
• Communication skills to motivate others to improve the quality of their work as well as to explain your findings clearly.
• Solid hardware inspection background.
