Position Purpose:

At Mercy Medical Center, the Operating Room RN delivers safe, high-quality care to surgical patients.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide intraoperative care by performing circulating and/or scrub duties, including patient positioning, site prep, instrumentation, and sterile technique.

  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient, coordinated care throughout procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required

  • Valid RN license in Massachusetts

  • Ideal candidates will have 1 or more years of intraoperative nursing experience, including circulating and scrub experience.

Preferred:

  • Current BLS/CPR (AHA or Red Cross)

  • Familiarity with AORN standards

Position Highlights:

  • Per Diem – Rotating Shifts

  • Shift requirement for this Option C position will require a commitment of: 8 (eight) shifts per month, comprised of off-shifts and 1 (one) weekend shift per month. **If the weekend is not needed that month, the eighth shift will still be required based on unit needs.

  • You will be required to work two holidays per year.

  • On Call requirement: Must participate in on-call rotation, based on unit needs. A minimum of one time per month is required.

  • Hourly Union position, Per Diem Flat Rate: $63.85
