OpenShift Team Leader

As a key link between engineering and support staff, the IT Team Leader consistently ensures a positive support experience for clients by managing, motivating and developing a team of engineers and by continually identifying and implementing system improvements. Depending on their level of expertise, the IT Team Leader has further responsibilities in managing first-line IT issues.

Key Accountabilities

• Review the work of an operations team that is part of a shift rotation in a production environment while being accountable for production monitoring, incident management and shift leadership.
• Motivate, manage and organize engineers on the team, including work activity prioritization and performance management.
• Perform the role of duty manager and/or technical incident lead during serious incidents.
• Ensure consistent and efficient project handover between engineering and support, for internal and external clients.
• Supervise project work to help implement best support practices.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

• 3+ years of experience in team leadership.
• Experience with OpenShift systems regarding configuration and administration.
• Experience with Linux systems regarding configuration and administration.
• Experience with Storage servers regarding configuration and administration.
• Experience with VMware servers regarding configuration and administration.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good English communication skills (written and oral).
• Ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly.
• Team player.
