About the Opportunity:
The Department of Applied Psychology in the Bouvé College of Health Sciences at Northeastern University is seeking a full-time, non-tenure track Clinical Professor (Open Rank) with a 52-week appointment to teach, supervise, and provide service in the Master of Science in Counseling Psychology (MSCP) program, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) training program.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include:
Teaching graduate courses in counseling psychology, including courses involving clinical supervision and clinical skills, and in the candidate’s areas of expertise.
Providing service and leadership to the Department, College, University, community and profession.
All faculty are encouraged to engage in scholarship and professional development.
Possibility of teaching undergraduate courses on occasion.
Qualifications:
Earned doctorate in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related field
License eligible as a psychologist and health service provider in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Three years post-licensure experience providing clinical supervision to master’s and doctoral level students
Experience teaching at the graduate level in applied psychology
Excellent communication, leadership, collaboration, organization, and interpersonal skills
Record of effective teaching, supervision, and professional activity; including both didactic and clinical courses (face to face, hybrid, online)
Direct experience in mental health counseling and supervision of mental health counseling utilizing evidence-based mental health interventions
Record of applied clinical research desirable, but not required
Demonstrated commitment to creating culturally responsive and supportive environments for students from diverse backgrounds

Pay Range:
Assistant Clinical Professor: $97,000.00 - $110,000.00 | Associate Clinical Professor: $132,000.00 - $148,000.00 | Clinical Professor: $146,000.00 - $179,000.00With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
