Über die Position

Als Onsite Support Engineer (Data Center) L2 bist du der technische Experte für komplexe Infrastrukturaufgaben in unseren Rechenzentren. Du übernimmst die Fehleranalyse, Glasfasertechnik und unterstützt bei Migrationen sowie Projekten. Mit deinem Know-how stellst du höchste Qualität und Sicherheit sicher und bist die Schnittstelle zu L3-Support und Architektur-Teams.

Deine Aufgaben

• Analyse und Behebung komplexer Infrastrukturprobleme (Server, Storage, Netzwerk, Security)
• Firmware- und Patch-Management in Zusammenarbeit mit Herstellern/Dienstleistern
• Montage, Installation und Fehleranalyse von Glasfaser- und LWL-Kabeln in Racks, Patchfeldern und Kabeltrassen
• Durchführung von Spleißarbeiten (mechanisch oder Fusionsspleißen)
• Durchführung von Messungen: OTDR-Messungen, Bit-Error-Rate-Tests (BER)
• Integration in strukturierte Verkabelungssysteme (MTP/MPO, LC/SC-Patchfelder)
• Unterstützung bei Migrationen und Projekten (z. B. neue Racks, Netzwerk-Upgrades)
• Eskalationsmanagement und Schnittstelle zu L3-Support und Architektur-Teams
• Erstellung technischer Dokumentation inkl. Messprotokolle im ITSM-System
• Sparepart- und Asset-Management

Dein Profil

Kenntnisse & Skills:

• Hardware: Server (Rack/Blade), Storage-Systeme, Netzwerk-Switches, Verkabelung (Kupfer, Glasfaser)
• Erfahrung im Aufbau und in der Betreuung strukturierter Netzwerkverkabelungen
• Anwendung von Messtechnik für Qualitätsmessungen und Fehleranalyse von Glasfaser- und LWL-Kabeln
• Kenntnisse in Compliance & Sicherheit (ISO 27001, Zutrittskontrolle, Datenschutz)
• Gewissenhafte Dokumentation und Tätigkeitsnachweise
• Erfahrung mit Bereitschafts- und Rufbereitschaftsdiensten

Qualifikationen:

• Abgeschlossene ITK-Ausbildung oder vergleichbare höherwertige Erfahrung
• Mehrjährige Erfahrung in Data-Center-Umgebungen und Glasfasertechnik
• Kenntnisse in Server-/Storage-Technologien und Netzwerkinfrastruktur
• Zertifizierungen wie CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, ITIL wünschenswert
• Bereitschaft zu Schicht- und Rufbereitschaftsdiensten
• Fließende Deutschkenntnisse sowie gute Englischkenntnisse
• Führerschein der Klasse B erforderlich
