POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Director of Specialty pharmacy and Clinical Development, the Clinical Oncology Pharmacy Specialist ensures optimum patient outcomes related to cancer and supportive care medication use by preventing or resolving drug-related issues and optimizing the drug therapy of cancer patients. Provides drug information to patients and families, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professional. Integrally involved in education of pharmacists, residents and students. Strives to increase knowledge through research and writing activities. The Clinical Oncology Pharmacy Specialist may also be involved, as necessary, in coordinating the acquisition, distribution and control of drug therapy for patients under the care of the pharmacist. The Clinical Oncology Pharmacy Specialist is an integral part of cancer care team providing valuable information related to drug monitoring and, if necessary, will make treatment decisions when necessary, as outlined in a collaborative practice agreement.

EDUCATION:
Doctor of Pharmacy/Bachelor of Pharmacy from accredited school of Pharmacy.

Compensation Range:
$72,500.00- $105,000.00This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
