About the Role
The On Trade Executive is responsible for driving sales growth, market share, and brand presence within the assigned channel and customers. This role focuses on building strong commercial relationships, accomplishing outstanding in-store strategies, and delivering against annual operating plan goals (volume and value).
Functional Responsibilities
Ensure perfect execution of platforms, paying close attention to detail to effectively engage and influence consumers.
Understand client needs and performance drivers, using Diageo’s expertise to support their long‑term growth.
Identify new opportunities in Consumer Centers, targeting areas outside the current client base for expansion.
Perform detailed market analysis (e.g., Iscam), stay updated on industry trends, and assess how our strategies can positively impact the market.
Adapt quickly to Diageo’s sales methods, including structured client visits and persuasive selling, to drive success in customer interactions.
Customize brand platforms to meet specific client needs, ensuring the brand stays visible and relevant to consumers.
Deliver AOP targets (volume and LPV) through effective trade strategy and revenue management (NRM).
Own and improve P&L performance across channels, customers, and brands.
Demonstrate ownership, and a strong customer-centric approach.
Leadership Responsibilities
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with teams in Finance, Supply, Marketing, and Customer Marketing to build and complete Joint Business Plans (JBPs), identifying growth opportunities and improving market reach.
Strategic Partnerships: Build lasting relationships with customers, positioning Diageo as their preferred supplier through a customer-focused approach.
Company Policies & Routines: Ensure full compliance with Diageo’s commercial routines, capability programs, certifications, trainings, and company policies.
Experience Required & Qualifications
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
Solid analytical and critical thinking capabilities, with an approach dedicated to achieving outcomes.
Proven track record to develop and deliver effective business presentations.
Experience accomplishing brand and commercial initiatives to drive visibility and consumer engagement at point of sale.
Strong understanding of customer needs and business drivers to deliver tailored solutions passionate about development.
Ability to identify and gain new business opportunities to expand market presence.
Experience analyzing market trends and performance data to advise commercial decision-making.
