About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic leader to drive Diageo Bar Academy in Mexico, one of our key global advocacy platforms. This role will be responsible for building and elevating bartender capabilities, strengthening engagement within the hospitality community, and positioning Mexico as a benchmark market. The ideal candidate will combine industry expertise, a digital approach, and strong collaborator leadership skills to transform education into meaningful brand advocacy and business impact.

Functional Responsibilities

• Lead Diageo Bar Academy in Mexico, delivering high-quality training programs and aligning with global standards.

• Track performance through important metrics and drive continuous improvement.

• Drive digital tools and platforms to strengthen bartender engagement.

• Lead DBA Staff Rewards and optimize performance through data insights.

• Develop and complete CRM strategy to grow and engage the bartender community.

• Build advocacy by converting participants into brand ambassadors.

• Partner cross-functionally alongside Commercial, Marketing, and CP&A departments.

• Manage agencies, budgets and ensure strong execution.

• Represent Diageo in key events and build partnerships with bartenders, accounts and influencers.

Leadership responsibilities

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Commercial, Marketing, CP&A and global teams to build and complete advocacy strategies aligned with business priorities and growth opportunities.

• Strategic Partnerships: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including bartenders, top accounts, agencies and industry partners, positioning Diageo as a leader in the hospitality space.

• Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to Diageo’s processes, standards and ways of working, including capability programs, reporting routines and internal policies

Experience Required & Qualifications

• Experience in advocacy, trade marketing, brand education or on-trade within the beverage or hospitality industry.

• Strong understanding of bartender culture and on-trade dynamics.

• Experience with digital engagement, CRM platforms and community-building strategies.

• Excellent communication, customer management and influencing skills.

• Strategic problem solver with strong execution and analytical capabilities.
