This role is required to be ON-SITE at our Coppell, TX office
ON-SITE hours are M - F, 7am - 3:30pm CT

The Sample Room Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the sample room, ensuring accurate tracking, organization, and inventory of merchandise samples. This role supports cross-functional teams by processing vendor samples, maintaining inventory records, and coordinating the movement and return of merchandise.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, open, and process incoming packages and merchandise samples as needed

  • Review and verify vendor invoices for accuracy

  • Enter vendor invoices and sample information into the sample room database

  • Create item tags and check-out documentation for tracking sample usage

  • Transfer merchandise between the sample room, photo studio, and buying offices

  • Coordinate and process vendor sample returns, including packing and shipping

  • Prepare and ship outbound packages and other shipments as required

  • Participate in buyer cart inventories according to the annually established schedule

  • Conduct annual inventory of the entire sample room

  • Generate and print inventory reports identifying missing items and coordinate chargebacks to brands for items that cannot be located

  • Maintain an organized, accurate, and efficient sample room environment

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to accurately process inventory and documentation

  • Basic computer skills and comfort working with databases or inventory systems

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to handle and move merchandise samples as required

The pay range for this opportunity is $18.50/hr - $22.11/hr Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
