About the opportunity
The Senior Clinician provides clinical assessment, treatment, care and support to older adults in the communities of Wyndham and Hobsons Bay. Overall the clinician forms an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team and provides highly responsive and flexible service to consumers and carers, while upholding a high level of professionalism. The Clinician uses their clinical skills to manage a clinical caseload and deliver therapeutic evidence based interventions relevant to their discipline.
The Older Adults team provides secondary consultation for older adults and clinicians in the community teams, including advice to support consumers and the broader community via a comprehensive mental health assessment and treatment.
The incumbent may be required to work extended hours on evenings and weekends.
About you:
Registration with AHPRA as a Enrolled Nurse (Medication Endorsement).
Demonstrated clinical competency in mental status and risk assessment and the ability to prioritise workload and coordinate clinical care with other services providers.
A current unrestricted Victorian Driver’s License and ability to drive a work vehicle
Desirable
Further study in the relevant specialist areas
Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
