OIP Bushing Winder

2nd Shift

The opportunity

Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is seeking a Winder. In this position, you will work with assembly drawings and measuring devices to properly wind bushings to match the customer’s specifications.

 

How you'll make an impact

 

·         Work with Kampf-Stahlkontor and Menzel winding machines, overhead cranes, lifting devices to successfully wind bushings

·         May be required to provide information to maintenance, engineering and/or quality assurance about the performance of the winding equipment

·         Must be able to work within team structure with minimal supervision

·         Continuous training on new equipment or new processes within the condenser winding area and based upon additional assignments

·         Use vacuum cleaners, standard and special hand tools, winding templates, tape measure, calibers and other measuring devices as needed to complete windings

·         Willingness to cross-train between condenser bushing winding machines

·         Must be able to operate a computer and learn specialized programs as needed to perform job functions

·         Able to stand and/or walk on hard surfaces for up to 10 hours per day

·         Able to regularly pick up and manipulate up to 35 pounds safely

 

Your background:

 

·         High School Graduate or GED

·         One year of experience in a manufacturing setting reading and interrupting assembly drawings
