About Us
ConocoPhillips’ Australian headquarters are located in Brisbane. Our focus is supplying Australian customers with natural gas and international customers with liquefied natural gas. We do this through our 47.5 percent interest in the Australia Pacific LNG joint venture, one of the largest producers of natural gas in eastern Australia. ConocoPhillips Australia also operates the Australia Pacific LNG liquefied natural gas facility near Gladstone. We are also an exploration company, with ongoing exploration occurring in the Bowen and Surat Basin in Central Queensland and new exploration in the Otway Basin along the southern coast of Australia to identify natural gas reserves for supply to Australian customers.
About the Role
As a member of the ConocoPhillips (COP) Australia Pacific LNG Downstream (DS) Maintenance & Reliability team, this position contributes to the development of a learning organization which embraces a commitment to operational excellence through continuous improvement while achieving zero injuries or incidents and compliance to our standards and processes.
Reporting to the M&R Supervisor - Reliability, the Offsite Repairs and Preservation Specialist leads the coordination and delivery of the equipment repairs processes to ensure repaired and overhauled equipment is returned to site efficiently and effectively. This role is also the custodian of the materials preservation program which is key to ensuring materials and equipment held in the Warehouse are available and in good working order through ensuring accurate preservation plans. The role interfaces with the Warehouse team onsite as well Brisbane based teams including M&R, Engineering and Projects. M&R Specialists work a Monday to Friday schedule and are based on-site at Curtis Island.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Continuously improve Repairs and Preservation processes.
Maintain KPI’s related to the repairs function including the critical out of stock metric.
Interface with the Warehouse to ensure the transportation of repairable materials to and from Curtis Island to local, interstate & global vendors, ensuring all materials are packed securely to ensure no damage during transport.
Ensure M&R and Warehouse resources required to complete preservation activities are planned for and work is completed.
Ensure catalogued materials that require preservation have an associated preservation plan
Ensuring repair and overhaul workscopes include technical requirements and QA/QC as directed by M&R and Engineering teams.
Ensure external suppliers meet the repair and overhaul technical and QA/QC requirements.
Raise & issue Purchase Requisitions, Request for Quotations & Purchase Orders within the SAP system for the repairs function.

Mechanical or Instrumentation/Electrical Trade and any applicable relevant licenses
A minimum of 5 years of experience in materials management and/or maintenance repairs function from within a relevant industry (e.g. Oil & Gas, Mining or similar Heavy Industry)
In depth understanding of offsite repairs processes including QA/QC and Contract Management
In depth understanding of preservation processes and the development of a preservation program
Demonstrated understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and experience working with external suppliers and OEM vendors
Extensive use of computerized materials management systems and processes e.g. SAP or similar systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration
Demonstrated financial acumen and budgeting skills
Strong computing skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite.
