Job Description:

This role will support Treasury, Investment Operations and ILAS Operations tasks for Sun Life Hong Kong

Responsibilities

  • Handle account opening for fund house and broker accounts

  • Handle enquiry and KYC (Know Your Customer) request from fund managers and brokers

  • Work with fund managers in Asia and US for timely and accurately investing surplus cash in long-term investment for investment portfolios

  • Assist to invest the operating cash in Money Market Fund or time deposit to maximize the return for cash pending for investment

  • Settle management fee with fund manager, legal fee for Private Equity Funds and ETF Rebate

  • Prepare daily trade orders, settlement and daily fund valuation reports for Investment Linked Funds (ILAS Funds)

  • Prepare online banking fund transfer instructions such as payment to policyholder, Intercompany fund transfer, transfer to custodian for trade settlement

  • Handle Treasury related enquiry, such as Faster Payment and oversea telegraphic transfer rejections and response

  • Participate in Investment Operations, ILAS and Treasury related projects

  • Handle ad-hoc tasks assigned by Manager

Preferred Skills

  • Good knowledge of bonds and equities. Familiar with settlement cycle and trade support process.  Basic knowledge of Treasury and cash flow management.

  • Strong analytical skills with good business sense

  • Good team player, able to work independently and under pressure

  • Good communication skills in both spoken and written English and Chinese

  • Advanced PC skills such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Qualifications

  • University graduate or above in Finance, Accounting or other related discipline

  • Minimum 3 years of Investment Operations or Treasury Operations experience, preferable obtained in the insurance industry
