Opportunity Awaits, Apply Today! – Office Specialist
As the Office Specialist for the Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries (DOGAMI), you will provide office assistance to the Mineral Land Regulation and Reclamation Program. This position directly supports a small, independent office through secretarial, record processing, and informational tasks relating to the permitting and reclamation of mineral exploration, aggregate, non-aggregate, oil, gas, geothermal and chemical process mining.

Please Note: This position is not suitable for hybrid work, in-office duties in Albany are required for the position to meet agency and department missions.
What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
One year of general clerical experience which included typing, word processing, or other generation of documents; OR
An equivalent combination of experience and college coursework or training in a general office occupation.
Additional skills and abilities:
Demonstrated ability maintaining a professional and friendly composure in an environment with frequent interruptions.
Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.
Experience in answering emails and telephones courteously and writing and relaying messages accurately.
Experience performing data entry and clerical assignments efficiently and accurately.
Experience with digital file management and file system maintenance, including file transfer protocols (ftp).
Ability to apply laws, rules, policies, or procedures affecting assigned work.
Ability to organize and prioritize work duties.
Expertise in the use of computers, including Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn and effectively utilize specialized software applications.
