The Oregon Board of Accountancy is seeking an Office Specialist to help support our busy CPA-PA renewal season. This is a great chance to gain hands‑on experience in a professional regulatory environment and contribute to an agency that serves thousands of Oregonians.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will be an important part of keeping our office running smoothly. Typical duties include:
Provide customer service by answering phones, responding to emails, and helping with routine licensing questions
Sort, scan, log, and distribute mail, including processing check deposits
Keep office equipment (scanners, printers, copiers, fax) running and organized
Update licensee and firm information in our databases
Assist with license verification
Prepare and mail official licenses and wallet cards
Maintain organized filing systems and follow records retention rules
Support staff with various administrative tasks as needed
What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents;
OR
An associate degree in any field;
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Details
This recruitment is for a temporary office specialist 2 position and may be used for future openings.
*The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect the additional 6.95%.
Finalists will be subject to a computerized criminal history check including fingerprints. Adverse background data may be grounds for immediate disqualification.
