The Public Employees Retirement System is recruiting for one (1) Office Specialist 1 (Image Information Technician) position in the Central Administration Division, Enterprise Content Management Section.

  • This is a full-time, permanent position.

  • This position is based at our headquarters in Tigard, Oregon and is a 100% in-office position.

Central Administration Division

This position resides in the Central Administration Division Procurement, Facilities and Logistics section. The Central Administration Division provides support services necessary to achieve the agency's key goals in support of the mission, vision, and core values and operating principles. Services from Central Administration are provided to all departments in the agency. Central Administration supports the executive director's office and other key areas and plays a key role in making and implementing critical agency decisions.

Enterprise Content Management Section

Enterprise Content Management Section (ECM) exists within Facilities and Logistics. The section is responsible for information governance development and compliance functions – providing enterprise guidance as well as the management of all agency information as required by applicable laws and established industry standards including governance on information in a collaborative work state across the enterprise. The activity also provides records management services to the agency as required by ORS 192 and OAR 166. The EMC centralized imaging system supports legacy processes and practices using technology that supports physical document imaging. It also is responsible for the migration of moving filmed images to electronic formats in support of business users. This activity also provides research functions that support internal and external agency needs.

What you will be doing:

This position supports the Agency and its business units by facilitating the processing and management of Agency records within electronic content and microfilm repositories. Responsibilities include the preparation and processing of physical, microfilm, and electronic documents/records. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in computer operations, file manipulation, and information management within a production-oriented environment. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, a strong commitment to teamwork, and the ability to handle repetitive tasks with precision and consistency.

Minimum Qualifications

One year of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR

An equivalent combination of experience and college coursework or training in a general office occupation.
