[What the role is]

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join the department as a Senior Executive / Assistant Manager (Timetabling & Data Management). The successful candidate will support data management, analytics, and reporting functions, as well as the administration of timetabling and module selection related operations.

Specifically, we are looking for someone who is able to apply optimisation techniques to timetabling, and has experience in data handling, analysis, and visualisation.

[What you will be working on]

Key tasks will include the following:

•            Liaise with Schools and Centres on academic administration matters (such as attendance, lessons, timetabling and module selection related matters).

•            Support the setup and maintenance of lesson and timetable information in relevant systems.

•            Administer timetabling, module selection and related operational activities

•            Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new system or system enhancements, validate system outputs and data accuracy, and work with stakeholders to resolve issues.

•            Perform timetabling of lessons, taking into account the required considerations, and optimisation of the timetables

•            Review processes and procedures, and recommend improvements to enhance usability, reliability, and efficiency.

•            Manage and respond to data requests from internal and external stakeholders accurately and in a timely manner.

•            Analyse large datasets to identify trends and insights to support in planning and decision-making.

•            Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports using data visualisation tools (such as Power BI).

•            Automate recurring data requests and analytical processes to improve efficiency and minimise errors.

•            Support process improvements and data integration across functional areas (e.g. timetable, assessment)

[What we are looking for]

•            Prior relevant work experience in an educational institution would be advantageous.

•            Experience in applying optimisation techniques

•            Meticulous with a keen eye for detail, and understands the need for data accuracy

•            Excellent communication skills (both spoken and written) and interpersonal skills

•            Strong planning and organising skills, with ability to work within tight timelines

•            Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently as well as in a team

•            Ability to use systems with ease

•            IT savvy and proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, including Power Automate and Power BI
