The Dental Program collaborates closely with various community partners, focusing on underserved populations across Multnomah County to ensure access to comprehensive dental services, including education, prevention, and treatment.
Join our dedicated team as a Bilingual Russian Office Assistant 2! In this vital role, you will be the welcoming first point of contact for clients at our busy Dental clinic sites, providing excellent customer service. Your exceptional multitasking skills and proficiency with multiple computer systems will be essential as you ensure accurate patient demographic and financial information, and process patient fees. This is a high-volume, fast-paced environment, and flexibility is key, as you may be asked to work across different locations and teams. This position will provide services in Russian and English languages.
As the Office Assistant 2 - Russian KSA, you will:
Obtain and/ or verify demographics, race and ethnicity information and insurance coverage utilizing multiple databases; update registration and accounts in Epic Practice Management
Collect patient co-pays and payments following established cash handling policies and procedures
Greet patients/guests; provide information and direct patients to services; answer incoming calls, and confirm appointments
Act as liaison with treatment staff and providers; monitor provider schedules to ensure appointment accuracy
Help dental program increase patient access and engagement by utilizing a variety of outreach strategies
Document patient related issues in EPIC
Process pre-authorizations and referrals as requested
Support emergency or last-minute schedule changes or additions, as needed

Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills*:
Education/ training equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
One (1) to four (4) years of general office support or customer service experience dealing directly with the public.
Must be bilingual in the Russian and English languages. (Language testing is required.)
Must obtain a BLS/ CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
Must pass a reference check.

Serving the Public, Even During Disasters:
Everyday, Multnomah County staff work together to serve as a safety net for our communities. During a disaster, this safety net becomes even more critical. All County employees have a role in serving the public during inclement weather, natural disaster, or other types of community emergency response. During these emergency responses, while typically there begins with a call for volunteers, county employees may ultimately be reassigned from their current position to a role in the emergency response in order to support the critical needs presented by our communities.
