As an Off Premise Sales Consultant, you will partner with both retail chains and independent accounts to build successful beverage programs, drive sales growth, and deliver category solutions that meet each customer’s unique needs. This role goes beyond simply selling products — we are looking for someone who understands wine and spirits, can analyze shelf sets and assortment gaps, recognize emerging opportunities, and bring strategic recommendations that help retailers maximize performance and profitability.

Job Description:

What You’ll Do

Territory Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with chain and independent retail accounts
  • Execute strategic sales initiatives and territory plans to drive growth
  • Provide exceptional customer service and quickly resolve account concerns
  • Identify opportunities to expand distribution, increase shelf presence, and improve product assortment

Sales & Category Development

  • Develop a deep understanding of our portfolio, pricing, and market trends
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations and product recommendations tailored to each retailer’s needs
  • Analyze shelf sets, cold boxes, displays, and category placement to identify assortment gaps and opportunities
  • Use wine and spirits knowledge to recommend solutions that improve category performance and drive incremental sales
  • Achieve sales goals and grow both supplier and customer business
  • Prospect and develop new retail accounts

Merchandising & Servicing

  • Conduct effective and consistent sales calls
  • Perform accurate inventory assessments and minimize ordering issues
  • Ensure products are properly merchandised and represented in-store
  • Support execution of displays, features, and promotional activity

Administration

  • Complete all required reporting, orders, and account follow-up in a timely manner
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong wine and spirits knowledge, including understanding of category trends, retailer needs, and assortment strategy
  • Ability to evaluate shelf sets and identify opportunities for improved product mix and category growth
  • Prior sales experience in beverage alcohol, retail, route sales, or related industry preferred
  • Ability to pivot and rise to the challenge as new portfolios and changes are presented
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and results-driven mindset
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Reliable transportation and proof of insurance
  • Local candidates preferred (no relocation package available)
