Interact with customers by phone and email to provide information regarding OD Critical & Expedited services and shipments.  Always provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. Assist less experienced employees with customer issues and help drive team performance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage large amounts of inbound and outbound calls and emails regarding OD Critical & Expedited services in a timely manner.
  • Daily monitoring of OD Critical shipments to ensure they meet promised delivery dates.
  • Quote and book OD Critical shipments in a timely manner
  • Carry and monitor dedicated on call phone for OD Critical after hours
  • Identify customers’ needs, clarify information, research every opportunity, and provide solutions and/or alternatives by following communication “scripts” when handling different topics.
  • Provide accurate information regarding expedited shipments to both internal and external customers
  • Provide Service 2.OD to all internal and external customers
  • Build sustainable relationships and engage customers by going the extra mile      
  • Keep the customer satisfied at the core of every decision
  •  Work closely with central dispatch, managers, and operations to accommodate customers’ needs.
  • Accept ownership for effectively resolving customers’ issues, complaints, and inquiries.
  • Assist and collaborate with initiatives and task across the Expedited Suite of Services

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
     

Required Experience:

  • 3 years customer service experience in a transportation company.
  • Understanding of the trucking industry and how freight moves through the system.
  • Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening skills.
  • Ability to deal with different types of personalities and effectively handle high-stress situations in a calm manner.
  • Ability to negotiate and secure shipments based on set guidelines.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Office programs, such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact with different types of personalities.
  • Ability to handle high stress situations and remain calm.
