We have an opportunity for a Occupational Therapist to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, emotional, and environmental needs.
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment and rehabilitation plans to promote independence and participation in daily life.
  • Provide interventions such as functional skills training, cognitive rehabilitation, equipment provision, and adaptations.
  • Work closely with physiotherapists, nurses, doctors, and other allied health professionals to support integrated care and safe discharge planning.
  • Attend MDT meetings and contribute to clinical decision-making and goal setting.
  • Liaise with patients, families, and carers to ensure involvement in care plans and support needs.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist.
  • BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Experience working in a clinical rehabilitation, acute, or community setting.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in a specialist area such as neuro, orthopaedics, elderly care, or mental health.
  • Knowledge of equipment provision and minor/major home adaptations.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and therapy documentation systems.
  • Experience working in private healthcare or across a range of clinical pathways.
