About ThedaCare!

Summary :

The Oasis Auditing Specialist is responsible for auditing, measurement, and analysis of home health Medicare OASIS admission, discharge, resumption of care, recertification documentation, and studies as identified by the clinical operations manager and quality committee. Identifies and communicates potential problems and assists in necessary interventions and future monitoring.

Job Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Audits validity of clinical documentation per Medicare OASIS regulations.

  • Monitors, analyzes, and escalates trends, opportunities, barriers and process changes to leaders and team members as applicable to engage improvement activity.

  • Reviews and/or audits new policies, procedures, and quality initiatives as determined by clinical operations manager.

  • Assists with education of team members on standard work gaps and improvements identified through audit work.

  • Provides additional support services within the defined service area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred

  • Must be 18 years of age

  • Three years of experience with auditing

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance

  • Job classification is not exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Normally works in climate controlled office environment

  • Frequent sitting with movement throughout office space

  • Use of computers throughout the work day

  • Frequent use of keyboard with repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and fingers
