What You Will Do:
The RT3 Training Advisor shall serve as a system manager for Air Defense Artillery (ADA) system trainers. Assesses the nature of system failures to determine an immediate solution or refers the problem for intervention by others, i.e., contractor or higher maintenance support. Assesses PATRIOT Conduct of Fire Trainer (PCOFT) and/or PATRIOT Interactive Video Trainer / PATRIOT Multi-Echelon Trainer (PIVT/PMET) training requirements and recommends appropriate software/hardware changes. Incorporates new training scenarios into lesson plans and programs of instruction. Monitors PATRIOT tactical air defense system changes to ensure consistency with software/hardware development. Participates in the composition of test problems designed to test the accuracy of the system trainers and analyzes test runs to determine machine performance. Monitors system error logs and analyzes causes of unscheduled machine stops to determine error types, reasons, and corrective actions. Develops an equipment schedule of operations based on established requirements and allows for unpredicted program changes and emergency situations. Plans for and provides time for phasing in repairs, debugging, and emergency programs. Monitors the processing of programs used for student training of the ECS and the ICC. Corrects errors involving diagnosis and identification of erroneous data as indicated by console patterns, video terminals, and printed records. Applies knowledge of the PATRIOT system operation, maintenance, and tactical procedures to develop, maintain, and upgrade computer files necessary for proper scenario/task execution.
Assists primary instructors during PCOFT/PIVT/PMET training of UAE Officers, Warrant Officers, enlisted, and civilian personnel. Monitors student responses and progress and provides supplementary instruction to individual students during laboratory exercises. Participates in the development of supplementary laboratory trainer courses, including system manager courses for training personnel in the UAE military. Advises departmental primary instructors on how the training devices support training sessions. Provides technical direction and training to military and civilian training technicians (console operators).
The RT3 Training Advisor shall serve as a subject matter expert to the UAE Training Center military staff on training devices and their effects on scenario development. The Advisor shall provide input to the OAI and UAE Training Center military staff regarding RT3 system limitations, uses, and capabilities for scenario generation. Reviews all scenario requests submitted by Training Center military staff and fire units to ensure they fall within system limitations and comply with the Systems Approach to Training (SAT) Program of Instruction. Reviews all scenarios generated or modified by the BTA to ensure they match the approved request.
The RT3 Training Advisor shall develop and maintain data collection files containing individual student and class averages for each session or course, and provide this information to the Training Center Officer in Charge (OIC) or designated UAE personnel. Assists with system software integrity for management of Automatic Data Processing (ADP) systems and is responsible for providing monthly directories of all system software media to the Training Center OIC, Manager, or designated UAE personnel. The RT3 Training Advisor shall adhere to UAE Armed Forces security requirements and guidelines as provided by the UAE.
The RT3 Training Advisor shall facilitate UAE support staff in becoming self-sufficient in the training, operation, and maintenance of all UAE training devices. This includes identifying functional details and providing knowledge through on-the-job training principles and concepts.
This position is located in Abu Dhabi UAE and is a short term assignment.
Qualifications You Must Have :
The RT3 Training Advisor shall have two (2) years’ experience in PATRIOT scenario generation, and PATRIOT Post Deployment Build (PDB) software 6.x and 7.x and familiar with PDB 8.x.
The RT3 Training Advisor shall be proficient in computer system operations and troubleshooting hardware and software.
Must have at least four of experience in the PATRIOT Air Defense System.
Must have directly related experience in the Patriot Evaluation Section and Patriot Tactical Operations at the Battalion or higher level
Demonstrated experience with integrated Battalion and Fire Unit-to-Fire Unit (FU-FU) operations.
Demonstrated experience instructing PATRIOT organizational classes in the classroom and on the tactical equipment or Patriot Conduct of Fire Trainer in the following areas: RSOP/Survey, March Order and Emplacement, System Initialization and Mapping, Air Defense Mission (ADM) against Air-Breathing Threats (ABT) and Tactical Ballistic Missiles (TBM), Guided Missile Reload and ARTEP Battle Drills/Gunnery Tables
Demonstrated knowledge on Brigade/AADCOM level TACSOP’s, and shall be capable of assisting in the training of organizational level system upgrades.
Must have successfully completed the Patriot Operator and System Mechanic MOS 24T/14E/140E conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) or an equivalent course of instruction conducted by the Patriot Missile System Contractor
Must have a current Secret Security Clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Working knowledge of PATRIOT integrated battalion and Fire Platoon-to Fire Platoon operations, to include expertise with PATRIOT communication links.
Demonstrated one (1) year of Collective Training experience or assignment to a deployed PATRIOT Battalion in CONUS or OCONUS.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Power Point.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years’ experience or HS Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
