At Cleveland Clinic, you’ll touch lives and hearts while making a difference. As a PRN Nursing Operations Manager, you will manage quality patient care and administrative decisions related to Nursing. You will help identify and ensures appropriate patient placement and facilitates/expedites all patient throughput, including admissions, transfers (including internal transfers) in accordance with established clinical standards.

A caregiver in this position PRN (as needed) varying shifts.  

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Identify and ensure appropriate placement, facilitation and expedition of all patient flow transactions, including direct and emergency patient admissions and transfers, in accordance with established clinical standards and knowledge of disease entities. 
  • Address significant patient issues throughout the house and communicate with relevant leaders. 
  • Handle staffing needs and make modifications, if necessary, to ensure equitable staffing arrangements throughout the hospital. 
  • Manage the patient experience trans-organizationally to optimize all resources to ensure a safe and efficient environment. 
  • Monitor and adhere to the annual hospital operating budget. 
  • Approve or monitor expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines. 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program) 
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)  
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Or the American Red Cross 
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR the American Red Cross 
  • Three years of experience in an acute care setting 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • One year of management experience  

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent walking, standing, sitting.
  • Manual dexterity, corrected vision, hand and eye coordination.
  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
