Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred):
Current Texas professional Nursing license required
Current Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardio Life Support certification required
Related Work Experience and Other Skills:
Ability to develop and maintain a good working relationship with all levels of staff
Ability to professionally and effectively communicate (verbally and in writing).
Ability to read, write, and speak English with strong writing, spelling and grammatical skills
Consistent professional behavior and able to handle confidential information.
Demonstrates ability to effectively interact with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.

Work experience:
5 or more years nursing management experience

Duty 1: Develops and implements strategic plans and goals in conjunction with MHD Strategic
imperatives and MSMC Strategic Goals.
Duty 2: Ensures development and implementation of appropriate system to facilitate optimal
operations.
Duty 3: Recruits, hires and coaches leadership team members. Oversees human resources and staff
development operations.
Duty 4: Establishes professional relationship with the medical staff to work collaboratively in
program planning and addressing clinical practice issues.
Duty 5: Develops budgets. Supervises operating within appropriate financial guidelines. Explains
budgetary variances.
