Full time – 37.5 hours per week

Paying from £32,920 up to £35,320 per annum dependent on experience

Role Overview:

As a Nursing Associate you will be joining a state-of-the-art clinic with access to world class diagnostics and consultant led services. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Associate to join our multidisciplinary team at Cromwell Hospital and Basinghall Clinic, an advanced outpatient diagnostics centre.

As a Nursing Associate you will play a crucial role in delivering safe, effective and person-centered care, working collaboratively with our consultants, nurses and administrative team to provide an exceptional patient experience. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality care delivery within dynamic and innovative outpatient setting. You’ll communicate effectively, with sensitivity and compassion, to manage relationships with people, making reasonable adjustments where necessary and to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

What you'll do:

  • Delivery high quality, compassionate care to patients under the supervision of
    registered nurses and in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Code and
    Standards of Proficiency for Nursing Associates.
  • To complete nursing risk assessments using recognise risk assessment tools.
  • Assist in the implementation of appropriate action to meet the specific physical, emotional, and psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of individuals and carers.
  • Contribute to the planning of care delivery in association with the Registered Nurse.
  • Contribute to ongoing assessment recognising when it is necessary to refer to others for reassessment and action.
  • Monitor the condition and health needs of people within their care on a continual basis in partnership with the members of the MDT team families, and carers.
  • Administer suppositories in line with prescription, administer medication via oral, topical, and inhalation routes.
  • Administer injections using subcutaneous, intradermal, and intramuscular routes.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, providing clear verbal, digital or written information and instructions when sharing information, delegating, or handing over responsibility for care.
  • Able to set SMART objectives with support from your Team Leader.
  • Demonstrate good understanding of principles of consent and ensure valid consent is obtained prior to undertaking nursing and care procedures.
  • Looking for development opportunities that impact Department, Quality and Patient experience.

What you’ll bring:

  • Registered Nursing Associate Foundation.
  • ILS trained.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Nursing associate working in a clinical environment.
  • Experience in an outpatient and orthopaedic setting.
  • Competent with venepuncture and immunisation training.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Computer literate and to be able to manage electronic patient records.
