About the opportunity
Clare Moore Building is a 50 bed Acute Inpatient Unit, based at Werribee Mercy Hospital. We cater for a range of consumers in the inpatient unit. Clare Moore Building has 3 Recovery Care Areas (RCA) and 1 Intensive Care Area (ICA). The unit is catered to the age group of 18 - 64-year-old consumers.
We are looking for a committed, visionary leader to work as a key member of the management team of the Clare Moore Building (CMB) providing operational and professional leadership, in line with Mercy Mental Health & Wellbeing Services and Mercy Health strategic direction.
Mandatory qualifications:
Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with successful completion of a specialist undergraduate psychiatric nursing program or a Post graduate Psychiatric/mental health nursing qualification or equivalent.
At least five years mental health nursing experience.
Previous NUM or ANUM experience.
Role responsibilities:
Ensure teams provide high quality responsive accessible clinical services in line with legislation and in the spirit of the Mercy Mission and Values.
To develop and maintain high quality, effective, efficient care and deliver services within a pre-determined budget.
To engage and liaise with key stakeholders to promote collaboration and partnership in meeting the mental health needs of the community.
To keep up to date with trends and developments in Mental Health and foster the development of best practice.
Support MMH&WS leadership team in the management and leadership of the overall MMH&WS program through participation in governance, strategic planning, projects & other activities.
Support the Reducing Restrictive Interventions (RRI) taskforce.
Managerial supervision to ANUMS.
About you:
High level of clinical experience
Excellent communication skills and effective interpersonal skills.
An ability to work autonomously & prioritise workload.
Current Victorian Driver's License.
Full Australian Working rights.
