About The Role:
To ensure all patient care delivered is done so within the scope of practice of the relative practitioner.
To plan and manage the delivery of patient care and ensure it is done in accordance with policies and procedures of MHS and St Vincent’s Health Australia (SVHA).
In conjunction with the Assistant Director of Clinical Services, the position holder will lead operational, financial and a strategic oversight of the Duncan Family Day Surgery Centre and Endoscopy Unit.
Delivery of excellence in patient and family centered care
Responsible for the financial management and human resources within the department
Responsible for risk management and Workplace Health and Safety within the department
About You:
Current AHPRA registration.
Bachelors in Nursing.
Minimum 5 years' experience within the Perioperative / Endoscopy setting.
Tertiary qualification on Clinical Nursing or Management or working towards.
Ability to create a transformational leadership environment.
Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal and conflict management skills.
An ability to understand and navigate complex stakeholder environments, engage and influence stakeholders effectively and build consensus where required.
Experience in management of change, risk management and quality improvement processes.

About The Mater:
In this role you will be based at the Mater hospital, North Sydney.
One of Sydney’s premier private hospitals.
Close by to train stations at North Sydney, St Leonards, and Crows Nest, and buses on Pacific Highway.
The only Australian hospital that is a member of the International Society of Orthopaedic Centres.
Core specialties include Obstetrics, Orthopaedics including hip and knee joint replacements, bone and sports injuries, cardiology, cancer care and surgery, lung and vascular medicine, ear, nose and throat surgery, urology, endocrine surgery, and neurosurgery.
