Weekend rotation anticipated after 6–12 months (every 3rd weekend).
Initial onboarding at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital for high-volume training.
Pay Range
$53.80 - $80.70Respond to hyper-acute strokes and inpatient consults.
Perform daily rounds, progress notes, and patient assessments.
Prepare patients for neurointerventional procedures (pre- and post-op).
Manage ER and hospital consults; one clinic day per week.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary neuroendovascular team.

Major Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute, critical, and chronic neurological conditions in an inpatient setting.
Obtain histories, perform physical exams, and develop differential diagnoses.
Prescribe medications, therapies, and treatments as appropriate.
Interpret diagnostic studies and collaborate with physicians on treatment plans.
Provide patient education on disease management, preventive health, and recovery.
Coordinate care across multiple services, including pre-op planning and discharge.
Document care plans and maintain records per established standards.
Offer clinical guidance to nursing staff and ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications: PA-C or NP (ANCC/AANP), DEA, BLS (may obtain within 6 months).
Experience: New grads welcome; neuro experience preferred.
Physical & Working Conditions
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the day.
Exposure to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards; PPE required.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient transfers.
