Nurse Educator - Pediatric Progressive Care Unit - Full Time -Days

The Nurse Educator is responsible for staff development including orientation, in-service, continuing and mandated education for Nurse Practitioners and Staff Nurses in Pediatric Progressive Care Unit and Nurse Practitioners in Pediatric ICU/Neuro/Ortho . Responsibilities included but are not limited to conducting clinical rounds, collaborate on projects related to our Magnet journey and identify the individual and collective learning needs of staff. Develop course curriculum and teach classes, incorporating research findings and using cutting-edge technology (e.g., on-line learning modules). Promote best clinical practices and inspire award-winning nurses. Regularly evaluate staff competencies and provide clinical mentorship and career guidance.
This is a full-time position, 11:00 am - 11:30 pm located at NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital.
Preferred Criteria:
Prior nursing education experience
National Certification
Master's degree in nursing as Nurse Practitioner (FNP or PNP)
Nurse Practitioner license
Required Criteria:
Current NYS RN licensure
Minimum of 4 years related clinical experience
Master’s Degree in Nursing
BCLS and PALS certifications
