Salary:  $135,826.04 - $138,534.10 + super.

About the role

St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney is home to two interdisciplinary simulation centres offering conference and teaching rooms, clinical skills and training areas, breakout spaces and high-fidelity simulation facilities.

  • Support a wide range of simulation, CPR and education programs, enabling high-quality learning in safe, purpose-built training environments.

  • Working to enhance the skill and knowledge of nurses, allied health and medical staff in the clinical environments of St Vincent's Health Network, Sydney.

  • Responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of simulation base education programs, policies and procedures within the clinical environment and broader organisation.

  • Develop, maintain, review and enhance learning materials to ensure education and training continues to reflect evidenced based practice and contemporary best practice.

  • Ensure all staff have equitable access to education support and resources to enhance their clinical competence.

About you

  • Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency.

  • Relevant post-graduate education qualifications or relevant post- graduate clinical qualifications with a Cert IV in Training and Assessment (or working towards).

  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, facilitate and evaluate education programs with knowledge of innovative educational strategies, tools and approaches including e-learning.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team and demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a nurse educator
