Characteristics include very experienced, demonstrated leadership ability, self-directed working (working with minimal supervision). A designated level of management must approve employees attaining this classification. There is no automatic progression into this classification and no designated number of Nuclear Materials QA Receipt inspectors.
Performing duties associated with nuclear materials receipt inspection and testing activities in addition to NMS-III duties plus the following:
Receive materials and perform all receipt activities in accordance with 10CFR50 and NSC procedure requirements. Utilize sampling, inspection / testing plans, review and analyze inspection/ test results to verify QA commodity critical characteristics, determining the acceptability and reliability of QA materials.
Maintain a high level of vigilance in regard to counterfeit/fraudulent materials.
Receipt inspection and examination of QA materials to include review and analyze supplier test results & documentation for compliance to Codes, standards, license commitments and procurement technical /quality requirements.
High School/GED degree
5 years related work experience
Associates degree
In addition to desired degree, 7 years related work experience
DOT Hazardous Materials Training and/or Quality Assurance Inspector
Excellent computer skills including Windows-based applications
Demonstrated excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
Must be able to prioritize both long-term and short-term task with varying levels of urgency from multiple team members, balanced along with normal duties
Working knowledge of the overall customer operations fundamentals and principals of nuclear plant, equipment and processes
Working knowledge of Asset Suite applications
Forklift operator certification
Warehouse and outside environments including all weather conditions and possibly extreme temperatures
Frequent walking, bending, kneeling, pulling, climbing ladders
Participate on rotating week or weekend on-call schedule and/or occasional overtime and emergency call-out for unscheduled outages
Weekend coverage if required
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to arrive at required location promptly once called for emergency call-out when scheduled for on-call duty during nights, weekends, holidays, etc.
Lead ANSI Warehouse Inspections in accordance with ANSI N45.2.6and Supply Chain Directives at your home site and others
Onsite Mobility Classification – Work will be performed at the assigned company facility.
Maintains certification as a Level II Materials inspector in accordance with Duke Energy’s ANSI N45.2.6 inspection program by successfully completing required training, experience and practical examinations, periodic evaluations and re-certification.
Must be able to obtain nuclear clearance.
