Job Summary: You will serve as a NUCLEAR OPERATIONS MANAGER in (Code 300N.2) in the Nuclear Production Department of PSNS and IMF.

Major Duties:

  • You will supervise project nuclear work through the Nuclear Assistant Project Superintendents and production workforce assigned to them.
  • You will schedule performance on all active projects and advise Nuclear Production Manger of problems affecting the time or scheduled execution of nuclear work.
  • You will establish project priorities for nuclear work, resolve issues regarding priorities, use of overtime to support eh work and resolve resource conflicts between projects or facilities.
  • You will coordinate assignment of trained and qualified nuclear mechanics among various projects assigned to the Department and functional areas of the Production Resources Department.
  • You will review and advise the Operations Officer and the Nuclear Production Manager on organizational issues such as division of responsibilities which affect work project organization structure or staff requirements.
  • You will coordinate resolutions to issues related to workload forecasting and work force requirements in the Resources shops.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing the planning and execution of naval nuclear work (e.g., technical advice, coordinate assignment, and schedule of production work efforts) to ensure the overall effectiveness and compliance with policy and procedures.
